Weekly Reflection Scriptures: Isaiah 2:1-5 and Psalms 122

The expectation felt in anticipation of the coming Messiah. A Purple Candle is used to symbolize this hope. And the candle is sometimes called the “Prophecy Candle” in remembrance of the prophet Isaiah who foretold the birth of Jesus Christ.

Until the dawning of that Great day, we watch and wait in the Holy Spirit for Christ’s coming into the darkness of our world. We remember the promises of God with prayer - those who put their hope in the Lord shall not be ashamed. May God prepare your heart this Advent season for the coming of the One who emptied himself and took the form of a servant.
