Teacher

Program:  Summer Youth Program

Position:  Teacher - Part-Time

Pay:  Competitive Pay

Duration:  June 7, 2021 - July 30, 2021

 

I AM A PROMISE is seeking motivated Teachers with experience working with kindergarten through 7th graders in the areas of Reading, Math and Science. Teachers interested in working with 1st –3rd graders must have a degree in Early Childhood Education. Teachers will provide academic lessons that will support a class of approximately 10 students per class.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

• Valid Oklahoma certification in the subject employed to teach

• Available to work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday

• Currently employed with Tulsa Public Schools

• Provides academic lessons in reading and math

• Implements activities that promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children

• Maintains classroom records, cleanliness, and orderliness

• Participation in orientation and teacher training

• Authorization for background check for criminal and child protective findings

Teacher Assistant

Program:  Summer Youth Program

Position:  Teacher Assistant - Part-Time

I AM A PROMISE - Summer Youth Program is seeking energetic Teacher Assistant that can assist Lead Teacher in planning and implementing learning experiences in the areas of Reading and Math for 1st through 7th graders.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of one year of college

• Available to work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday

• Ability to work as a team member with other teachers, staff members and volunteers

• Currently employed with Tulsa Public Schools

• Experience in working with children in a group setting

• Responsible, friendly, enthusiastic, patient and willing to learn

• Participation in orientation and teacher training

• Maintains classroom records, cleanliness, and orderliness

• Authorization for background check for criminal and child protective findings

Camp Counselor

Program:  Summer Youth Program

Position:  Camp Counselor - Part-Time

Pay:  Competitive Pay

Duration:  June 7, 2021 - July 30, 2021

I AM A PROMISE - Summer Youth Program is seeking energetic Camp Counselor that can plan, lead, and implement a variety of summertime activities. You will be responsible for assisting with general safety and development, growth and skill achievement for ages 5-13.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 16 years old

• Available to work between 8:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday

• Have some experience working with children and youth

• Ability to multi-task, lead games and other activities

• Able to work and be active indoors and outdoors in the heat

• Participation in orientation and teacher training

• Authorization for background check for criminal and child protective findings
